Enterprise NY Launches Cities RISE Program with New York State Attorney General
Enterprise is excited to announce a Request for Applications (RFA) for the new Cities for Responsible Investment and Strategic Enforcement (Cities RISE) program, a collaboration between Enterprise, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and the New York State Office of Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. Cities RISE will provide cities, towns, and villages in New York State with easy to use technology that will coordinate, map out and analyze disparate sources of data with the goal of facilitating effective, equitable strategies to spur housing revitalization and enforce housing code. Enterprise recognizes the value of data to local governments and strongly believes that code enforcement can be a powerful tool to strengthen our communities and improve the lives of all residents.
Municipalities with populations greater than 25,000 (or groups of municipalities with combined populations greater than 25,000 that currently share a consolidated code enforcement system) are eligible to apply for this two-year program. You can access the Request for Applications (RFA) here.
Responses to the application are due by 5pm on May 5, 2017. Enterprise and LISC will host a conference call to answer questions about the initiative on April 18, 2017. Information on submission requirements and the conference call is in the Request for Applications.
Applicants who are chosen under this RFA will receive a two-year license to use the BuildingBlocks data platform, technical assistance in using the platform, and additional consulting services to help plan and implement a comprehensive approach to housing challenges.
