We are pleased to share with you the One Enterprise Strategic Plan: 2009-2013, which sets our course for the next five years. We recognize that our collective expertise and determination have never carried so much potential, and in many ways our work has never been more important than it is now.

The plan is a bold and transformative call to action. It establishes how all of Enterprise works together to serve our partners and thousands of low-income people in communities across the country. The plan lays out Enterprise’s core priorities through 2013. We also create a new structure that will expand our reach and magnify the impact of our work nationwide.
Enterprise is at the center of an altered landscape – one that presents new challenges for affordable housing and community development; one that demands fresh ideas and policies; and one in which our immediate action is critical. Housing solutions at the national, regional and local levels must help lead our country to a prosperous future. The plan provides us with the framework and tools we need to enter an exciting new phase as an organization.
Our founder Jim Rouse was a visionary, and we frequently look to his legacy in our work. At a time when our neighborhoods were decaying, he created new ideas and inspired new policies that helped change our course. His vision made affordable housing a priority in this country, and his work affected the lives of millions of Americans. It is in his footsteps that we advance.
We envision a thriving, sustainable housing future for America, and we are ready to help lead the way. As always, we look forward to your continued partnership as we work to better the lives of low-income Americans.
Sincerely yours,
