Alma Balonon-Rosen ensures that Enterprise’s top partners in Upstate New York, New England, Pennsylvania and south New Jersey have access to the company’s predevelopment and acquisition products, tax credit syndication, long term mortgage products, green and public policy expertise.
Alma has over 20 years of experience in community development and affordable housing. During her tenure at Enterprise, Alma has served as the Director of the Upstate New York program where she helped to establish a funding and technical assistance vehicle to address foreclosed properties in Rochester, oversaw a funding collaborative for Rochester community development organizations and coordinated lending and syndication activities.
Prior to joining Enterprise, Alma worked for the Fleet Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Department in both Boston and Rochester where she initiated the bank’s community development real estate efforts Upstate. Prior to moving to Rochester, Alma worked at Massachusetts Housing Partnership Fund (MHP) in Boston where she originated permanent mortgages for affordable housing projects and bridge loans for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit developments.
Alma received her BA in Economics from Tufts University and her MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School of Management. Alma serves on the board of the Rochester Housing Development Fund Corporation, Neighborworks Rochester and the United Way’s Martin Luther King Committee.
