Join the Fight

Join us by pledging to make your home more energy “affordable.”  Choose among the following easy-to-do options for saving money and energy.

I pledge to incorporate two or more of these easy-to-do options into my home or apartment.

• I will switch at least 75% of my household light bulbs to EnergyStar® compact fluorescent lights.
• I will check to be sure my furnace is clean, lubricated and properly adjusted.
• Since I’m flush and hoping for a tax break, I will replace one or more of my current appliances with a more efficient model.
• I will clean the vents of my current system, close unused vents, and change filters in them.
• I will keep my house two degrees warmer in the summer and two degrees cooler in the winter.
• I will turn on the “energy saver” mode of my current fridge, located near the thermostat.
