Enterprise was created to ensure that every person in the United States has access to fit and affordable housing, a foundation to move up and out of poverty. We welcome your support through a variety of opportunities:

(through Network For Good)
"Decent housing gives a family dignity and self-respect. It provides the platform that makes it possible for a family and neighborhood to change and grow."
Jim Rouse
This year Enterprise celebrates its 200,000th home and its 2006 investment of one billion dollars for affordable housing. We take pride in the fact that every 80 minutes another family moves into a home with the help of Enterprise.
We need your help now more than ever, because the need is simply so great. Consider the crisis on the Gulf Coast: more than 250,000 homes lost in a single day. Add to that the fact that the United States will be some 3.3 million short on affordable homes sometime in the next decade – and that without any additional natural disasters.
Sister hurricanes Katrina and Rita changed everything for millions in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast. Enterprise arrived early on, providing disaster relief to dislocated families and technical assistance to local leaders. We are building in New Orleans and Pass Christian today, part of a commitment to build at least 10,000 new homes in the area.
Enterprise does more than catalyze the construction of affordable housing – we are in the business of community-building all over the country. Increasingly, these communities share a commitment to “green” living. Green Communities™, a partnership led by Enterprise and the Natural Resources Defense Council, is building the homes to make it possible. Recognized as a leader in this relatively new industry, Enterprise relies on donations from individuals, foundations and corporations to remain on the cutting edge of innovation.
With offices in cities around the country, Enterprise boasts partnerships with more than 2,500 community organizations. We offer a combination of community development tools, including the catalytic funding and technical assistance that grassroots organizations need to take their ideas from vision to implementation.
We’re always looking for ways to grow and strengthen the bottom line. Your gift will go far beyond its face value, as each dollar we bring in is leveraged a minimum of 16 times. That means that your gift of $1,000 goes to work as if it was $16,000. Even more importantly, it means that every $5,000 we receive in donations is leveraged into building a new home. It’s that simple.
